Cooper Hewitt Greeting Card Set

One of my projects as a student at Oklahoma State University was designing a greeting card set for one of the many Smithsonian museums. After some research I decided to focus on the retro industrial and furniture design found in the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York City.

I was inspired by advertisements from the 1950's and 60's for products like these. I chose to design cards that could act as both a post card from the Cooper-Hewitt and as a greeting or holiday card, acting as if to "sell" the product to their recipients to invoke nostalgia related to these products.

The card packaging indicates which 8 items are featured on a card within, but only 2 were fully designed. All 8 of the products can be found in the Cooper-Hewitt's collection database.
